If you’re eager to continue your career in Research Administration, we invite you to join our Grants Administration team at the Space Telescope Science Institute (STScI). Our world-class astronomical research center is based on the Johns Hopkins University Homewood campus in Baltimore, Maryland. This position supports hybrid work. You will be working mostly from home, but you must reside in or be willing to relocate to our local market (MD/DE/PA/VA/WV/DC) and be able to report onsite when needed.
You’ll play a crucial role in our mission as the sponsor of the grant programs for the Hubble Space Telescope (HST) and James Webb Space Telescope (JWST), two of the most powerful space telescopes ever created. These grants fuel groundbreaking astronomical research, leading to the captivating images you often see in the news! A minimum of ten years of prior grants administration experience with federal grants is required.
As a member of our team, you will apply the HST and JWST program policies, procedures, and regulations, including the Uniform Guidance (2CFR200), to award and manage NASA- funded research grants to grant recipients.
Qualifications:
You must be a highly motivated and curious self-starter who thrives in a team environment and takes personal ownership and pride in your work. A minimum of ten years of prior grants administration experience working with federally funded grants and 2 CFR 200 is required. Experience working in a sponsor organization is desirable but not required.
You must possess a Bachelor’s degree along with the following skills and abilities:
