The Role
AMERGINT is seeking experienced software engineers who are passionate about working closely with customers to solve difficult mission-critical challenges. This position will be located in Colorado Springs, CO.
Core Responsibilities
- Work with a team to design software and hardware for testing communication systems
- Design, code, integrate, and test embedded software
- Support prototype development and test in a laboratory environment; and collaborate with other disciplines, including electrical engineering, firmware, and test
- Use your skills in object-oriented programming, message protocol interpretation, real-time processing, test script development, and use of agile processes, working under minimal supervision
- Conduct automated and manual testing of applications controlling integrated hardware and peripheral equipment while supporting/enhancing existing software products as necessary
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar technical field
- 5+ years of experience Python development
- 5+ years of experience C++ development
- Experience with the Linux Operating System
- Experience with version control tools, such as SVN
- Experience with real-time embedded systems is important
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance for this position
Preferred Skills
- Master’s degree is a plus
- Experience with telemetry and satellite communications
- Experience with the use of lab equipment, such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, power supplies, and digital multi-meters is a plus
- Familiarity with PCM telemetry
What We Offer
- Colorado pay range from: $109,000 to $147,000 annually. Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
