Join the team at Honeybee Robotics as an Electrical Engineer III and help bring cutting-edge electronic Motion Control products and systems to life! You’ll support the development of multi-board designs from concept through development and into manufacturing and test. If you have a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer engineering and 4 years of relevant work experience, we’d love to hear from you.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited technical college or university in Electrical or Computer Engineering and 4 or more years of relevant work experience.
Experience with embedded system design, including:
Schematic capture and PCB layout.
Digital, analog, and mixed signal design.
Board-level communication interfaces (I2C, SPI, UART, RS-232, RS-422, RS-485, CAN).
Linear and switch mode DC/DC power conversion.
Documentation (test procedures & reports, interface control documents, ECOs).
Experience in prototype development, debugging, and testing in a lab environment.
Familiarity with:
Design analysis and simulation (WCA/WCCA, reliability, radiation).
Cable and wire harness design.
Signal and power integrity (SI/PI).
Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC).
Controlled impedance for high-speed channel design (SpaceWire, 10GbE, SerDes).
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience designing motion control and electromechanical systems for space environments.
Experience with:
EEE-INST-002 and radiation-hardness/mitigation.
BLDC and stepper motion control.
Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
Altium Designer.
Familiarity with:
Embedded-C DSP and microcontroller firmware development.
Verilog and VHDL FPGA design.
System and functional requirements generation.
