The IT Project Manager will be responsible for planning, executing, and closing IT projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. This role involves managing cross-functional teams, coordinating with stakeholders, and implementing technology solutions that align with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning: Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timeline, resources, and budget. Define project deliverables and milestones.
Execution: Lead project execution, coordinating tasks, managing resources, and ensuring project deliverables meet quality standards.
Stakeholder Management: Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including executives, team members, and external vendors. Provide regular updates on project progress and address any issues or risks.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate project risks, addressing issues proactively to ensure project success.
Resource Management: Allocate and manage resources, including team members and budgets, to ensure project objectives are met.
Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plans, status reports, and post-project reviews.
Quality Assurance: Ensure that IT solutions are delivered according to specifications and meet the company’s quality standards.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience: 5+ years of experience in IT project management, with a proven track record of delivering complex IT projects successfully.
Project Management Skills: Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall) and experience applying them in practice.
Technical Knowledge: Basic understanding of IT systems, infrastructure, and software development processes.
Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage stakeholders and project teams.
Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Certifications: Relevant project management certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) are required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Education: Master’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience: 7+ years of experience in IT project management, with experience managing large-scale IT projects or programs.
Advanced Skills: Expertise in advanced project management tools and techniques, including Agile and Scrum methodologies.
Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of IT systems, infrastructure, and emerging technologies.
Industry Experience: Experience in aerospace or technology sectors, particularly with applications related to space exploration or satellite systems.
