This role supports the development and operations of New Glenn, a single-configuration, heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle capable of routinely carrying people and payloads to low-Earth orbit, geostationary transfer orbit, cislunar, and beyond. Its first stage is fully reusable, and the vehicle was designed from the beginning to be human-capable.
As part of a small, passionate team, you will work on launch vehicles, space vehicles, and launch facility systems for New Glenn. This critical role leads the systems engineering disciplines and associated scope required to certify the New Glenn launch vehicle in direct support of the National Security Space Launch program. You will provide leadership in achieving the required certifications for providing launch services for critical national security payloads. To be successful in this role, you will develop and maintain positive relationships across the New Glenn program and our US government partner at the US Space Force. You must be proactive in planning sophisticated products across many technical subject areas while also developing, delivering, and communicating results in support of government certification requests. You will be in charge of developing, reviewing, and providing certification products, including design, analysis, qualification test data, drawings, reports, etc. Lastly, you must have the resourcefulness and flexibility to perform at a high-level in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and be an incredible team member!

Qualifications:
Minimum of a B.S. degree in engineering or an equivalent technical management field
Understanding of the Systems Engineering V – including requirements development, verification plans, and V&V closure
Desired understanding of system safety products, including fault trees, functional hazard assessments, hazard sheets, and/or other related systems safety tools
Proven experience (2+ years) with large-scale, development aerospace program
Solid understanding of project management and resource planning practices
Experience with customer certification or mission assurance practices
Ability to work within a team environment
Excellent communication and coordination skills
Use excellent judgement and be comfortable making high-quality and high-velocity decisions
Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong track record of product ownership
Ability to earn trust and develop positive and inclusive relationships
Experience with collaboration tools such as Confluence and JIRA
Experience with MS Office and related IT systems
Frequent travel between sites may be required
Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion

Compensation range for on-site CO applicants is $110,055-$154,077
Compensation range for on-site WA applicants is $120,060-$168,084
Compensation range for on-site CA applicants is $120,060-$168,084
