Vast is looking for a Senior Technical Writer, reporting to the VP, Haven-2 Engineering, to lead our technical writing efforts as part of the Haven-2 design for the NASA Commercial LEO Destinations (CLD) proposal.
This will be a full-time, exempt position located in our Long Beach location.
About the Role:
We are seeking a Senior Technical Writer to join our team and play a crucial role in bridging the gap between complex technical concepts and our customers. In this role, you will work directly with engineering teams to distill and articulate detailed technical information, ensuring it is accessible and impactful for various stakeholders. You’ll be the driving force behind creating, editing, and managing customer-facing technical documentation such as proposals, Interface Control Documents, and technical specifications. Your expertise in managing documentation timelines, formatting, and developing streamlined processes will be instrumental in supporting sales and business development efforts and maintaining clear communication with our customers.

You have a passion for translating complex technical information into clear, concise, and accurate content. You thrive at the intersection of technical detail and effective communication, leveraging your experience to craft documentation that meets the needs of technical and non-technical audiences alike. You are highly organized, proactive, and adept at managing schedules and stakeholders to meet tight deadlines. You enjoy creating efficient processes and tools to streamline documentation efforts, reducing the workload required for incremental updates. Your collaborative nature and ability to work through ambiguity make you an asset to teams tackling time-sensitive, high-impact projects.
