Summary:
The custodian will be responsible for maintaining the facilities and keeping the building clean and neat in a safe manner that meets company standard. The external and internal appearance of a building reflects on the occupants. It is important for a custodian to be careful and thorough in working, cleaning, and tidying the premises.
Hourly rate is $18.00/hr.
Shifts available are 7:00am – 3:30pm or 6:30am – 3:00pm
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensuring spaces are kept clean by taking out trash, tidying furniture and dusting surfaces
- Sweeping and mopping floors, vacuuming carpets
- Washing and sanitizing various areas
- Restocks consumables and supplies throughout the facility
- Ensures a clean, neat and orderly work areas, cleans and maintains supplies, to ensure compliance with safety regulations, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) AND Safety Data Sheet (SDS) standards
Minimum Qualifications:
- Proven experience as custodian, janitor or in a similar role
- Knowledge of use and maintenance of industrial cleaning equipment and supplies
- Knowledge of safe disposal of chemical liquids and other hazardous components
- Attention to detail and conscientiousness
- Very good physical condition and strength, able to go up and down stairs constantly and stand for long periods of time
- Able to work with limited oversight
- Basic knowledge of computers and email communication
- US Citizen, Permanent Resident Card Holder, or Non-Citizen allowed to work for any employer.
Preferred Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
