This position is for a Cyber Security Engineer on the Next Generation GEO (NGG) program based in Boulder, but also supported in Longmont CO. The selected candidate will be part of a dynamic Cyber engineering team that designs, develops, documents, tests, and maintains full spectrum cyber solutions. This position is specifically for an individual interested in leading Authorization and Accreditation using Risk Management Framework & Cyber Requirements activities for the NGG development systems.
As a Cyber Security Engineer supporting the NGG program, your responsibilities will include:
In this role, you will:
1. Provide hands on systems and architecture support for the NGG Ground development team to meet Cybersecurity mission execution on NGG development & operational assets.
2. Evaluate and analyze system architecture and security design as they pertain to the Cyber domain.
5. Apply Cyber Security Engineering to improve the processing, configuration, transport, and usability of data to support mission operations.
6. Provide configuration and implementation support to deployed security tools.
7. Support peer reviews of policies and guidance as they relate to the NGG mission.
8. Support working group meetings with the customer, as needed.
9. Have frequent collaboration with customer stakeholders as well as working closely with site personnel.
10. Assist in cyber risk assessment activities including threat modeling, vulnerability analysis and analysis of mitigation solutions.
11. Coordinate with Cyber, System Architects and Developers to provide support to the development of security solutions.
12. Employ cyber security methods, techniques, tools, and capabilities.
Basic Qualifications:
1. DOD 8570 Experience.
2. Experience with a SIEM technology.
3. Proven experience with DoD cybersecurity requirements, policies, and procedures.
4. Experience with Secure Configuration/Hardening of DoD Information Systems.
Desired Skills:
1. Experience performing cybersecurity activities in support of software and system requirements, design, development, testing, and sustainment.
2. Experience with NetBrain, Zenoss and Hewlett Packard Network Automation (HPNA).
3. Familiar with eMASS, HBSS, ACAS, SCAP Compliance Checker (SCC), DISA STIGs.
4. Experience with Secure Configuration/Hardening of DoD Information Systems.
5. Experience with Intel Driven Threat Modeling, preferably classified Cyber Threat Intel Support.
6. Experience briefing complex cyber security principles to all levels of knowledge and skill.
7. Experience briefing high level customer stakeholders with cyber security concerns and remediation tactics.
8. Knowledge of NIST 800-53.
9. Experience with RHEL and Windows Server/Professional.
10. Experience with SIEM and cloud technologies including LogRhythm, Splunk, Jira, and Confluence.
11. DoD 8570 IAT II Certification.
12. Ability to provide guidance on DoD Cyber regulations and requirements to engineering and software development staff.
13. Experience with responding to cyber incidents from detection through remediation.
14. Intuitive and proactive self-starter that’s accountable and mission focused.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4×10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, Washington or Washington DC is $93,400 – $179,000. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
