Job Description
Maxar is currently seeking a Deskside Support Specialist to join our team in Linthicum, MD. In this role, you will be responsible to provide computer support services to users in all areas of the company, focusing on spaces requiring a clearance within the established service level agreements, address various technical incidents and problems, work with various types of software, and support PC hardware/peripherals, end user documentation and training, and other various tasks associated with end user readiness and support.
Responsibilities:
· Install Windows Desktop thick or VDI thin clients and peripherals (VoIP phones, A/V equipment, monitors, etc.) within classified areas.
· Provide IT “Smart Hands” to assist end users in troubleshooting with remote technicians.
· Clearly communicate issues and conditions to a NOC/SOC
· Keep inventory records for all customer provided hardware that is installed within the classified areas
· Assist the team as needed to share and gain knowledge of the environment.
Minimum Requirements:
· Must be a U.S. Citizen with a current/active TS/SCI clearance and be willing and able to obtain a CI Poly
· Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. Four additional years of experience may be substituted for a degree
· Minimum of 2 years of related work experience
· Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (i.e. CompTIA Security+ CE)
Preferred Qualifications:
· Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
· Strong knowledge of Windows 10, PCs (hardware and software), MS Office Applications
· Strong organization and time-managements skills
· A “Can-do” attitude
· Networking and Networking protocol (DHCP, DNS, SNMP, etc.) knowledge, specifically layer 1 and layer 2
· Audio Visual experience
· VoIP phone support experience
Our salary ranges are market-driven and set to allow for flexibility. Individual pay will be competitive based on a candidate’s unique set of knowledge, skills, and geographic diversity, with earnings potential commensurate with experience. The range for this position is:
