About the programs:
NASA has called on industry to return humans to the moon, this time to stay, and Lockheed Martin intends to answer that call.
The space domain is essential to modern commerce, scientific discovery, and national defense. Maintaining space domain awareness in cislunar space – the volume of space between the Earth and the Moon – will require a leap-ahead in propulsion technology.
Our team is involved with the Demonstration Rocket for Agile Cislunar Operations (DRACO) programs within our Commercial Civil Space (CCS) line of business.
We work with DARPA, NASA, and BWX Technologies to develop and demonstrate a nuclear-powered spacecraft. These projects represent a rapid advancement in propulsion technology to benefit both exploration and national defense.
