EchoStar has an exciting opportunity for an Entry Level Mechanical Engineer in our Hughes Network Systems division. This position will be located at our headquarters in Germantown, MD.

Responsibilities:

• Innovate mechanical electronic packaging solutions at the chip level, board level, product level, and datacenter level.
• Create, model, prototype using CREO CAD Tools, 3D-printing, rapid prototyping, & test product designs in in-house laboratories per DO-160, MIL-810 etc. standards.
• Full product lifecycle involvement and multi-discipline team environment.
• Design mobile communication systems on air, land or sea vehicles
• Create mechanical solutions to electronic packaging challenges at the chip level, board level, and enclosure level.
• Participate in full product life cycle from Concept Design, Analysis, Development, Prototyping, Testing, to Production Release

Basic Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of advanced materials and manufacturing processes for CNC machining, injection molding, sheet metal stamping, die casting, and extruding for high volume applications. 
• Understanding of Thermal Analysis and Structural Analysis applied to electronics design. 

Will be eligible for discretionary bonus, with funding based on company performance.
