Job Description Qualifications:
Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for an Entry-Level Quality Production Specialist (Material Review Board MRB) to join our team located in New Orleans, LA.
This position will be supporting NCRs for production hardware and tooling.. Successful candidates will have experience Interacting with senior management. customer, cross functional team engineering groups.
Successful candidates will possess the following skills:
Solid understanding of aerospace manufacturing processes, materials, and non-conformance management
Experience with MRB processes, including review and disposition of non-conformances.
Proficiency in using engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
Ability to identify and develop solutions for routine problems of limited scope and complexity
Experience in using established practices and procedures to resolve issues
Ability to interact with organization personnel and customers to provide or obtain necessary information.
Experience in creating reports and documentation related to MRB decisions and actions.
Keen attention to detail in reviewing production plans and ensuring compliance with quality standards.
Position Responsibilities:
Observes validation of product non-conformances and disposition type, quality procedures and engineering requirements.
Learns Quality Management System requirements, applicable company procedures, contract requirements, or government regulations. Gathers data and participates in the investigation to determine root cause of nonconformance of plans, products or processes.
Gain knowledge of aerospace design, systems and integration to perform failure and forensic analysis of aerospace components and systems.
Learns the development, modification and documentation of actions to assure problem resolution or to implement corrective/preventive action.
Observes and seeks advice on obtaining corrective action on nonconforming plans and hardware/processes.
Assists in the validation of configuration management and learns quality procedures and material review policies.
Performs internal replication of software to Company and regulatory standards and procedures.
Participates in audits to ensure media is stored and handled per engineering defined requirements.
Assists in the creation of basic reports, and assists coordination with the responsible parties for internal and external distribution.
Works under close supervision.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.
This is a NASA safety-sensitive position and is subject to random drug and alcohol testing.
This position requires the ability to obtain access to a National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) facility
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Experience do you have in an aerospace, fabrication or manufacturing environment
Experience working in a Quality job role
Experience in Material Review Board processes
Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical data
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience with NCM, or Nonconformance Management
Experience with root cause analysis and corrective action processes in an aerospace environment.
Experience do you have performing Material Review Board (MRB) product review
Familiarity with Six Sigma methodologies or Lean manufacturing principles.
ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or equivalent certification.
Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards (e.g., FAA, EASA).
Strong understanding of specific aerospace components and systems.
Ability to provide technical guidance for more complex MRB decisions.
Experience in working as part of a cross-functional team to address and resolve material and process issues.
Typical Education & Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. 2 years’ related work experience).
