Your Mission
As an R&D controller, you will be part of the FP&A and controlling team. Your role will primarily involve steering the financial planning and reporting processes for the Research and Development departments. You will be instrumental in identifying cost-saving opportunities, fostering effective collaboration and business partnering with various stakeholders.
More specifically, you will:
- Oversee the financial planning process for the R&D departments, developing and maintaining financial models and forecasts for both short-term and long-term strategic planning
- Lead the financial reporting process for the R&D departments, delivering crucial insights and recommendations to senior management for strategic decision-making
- Track the R&D departments’ spending, identifying areas for improvement and opportunities for cost savings to enhance financial performance
- Utilize your excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders, fostering strong relationships and delivering significant value
- Develop and lead transition into project based reporting in R&D
Who you are and what you have
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field, preferably with an engineering background. MBA and Master in Management are an advantage
- At least 3 to 5 years of experience in FP&A & Controlling, preferably within an R&D environment
- Strong technical understanding of the R&D process and experience applying it in a commercial setting
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Proactive can-do attitude, with solution oriented mindset
- Fluent in English
Nice to Have:
- Previous experience using SAP
- Experience with Power BI or other BI tools
