The role is part of the In-Space Systems business unit, which is focused on development, manufacturing, and operation of satellite systems to address one of the most compelling challenges in spaceflight today: space mobility. As part of a hardworking team of diverse engineers, as a Senior Flight Software Engineer, you will have the unique opportunity to contribute to the development, manufacturing, and operation of satellite systems, and play a key role in enabling Blue Origin’s vision of millions of people living and working in space.
As a member of our team, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing flight software for upcoming Blue Ring uncrewed spacecraft. You will collaborate with a diverse group of engineers to establish requirements, direct team tasks, and create and evaluate real-time software using C/C++ techniques. Your efforts will directly influence the effective development and operation of multiple satellites, and you will have the chance to guide and inspire fellow software team members.
To excel in this position, you should have attained a B.S. degree in computer, aerospace, or electrical engineering or a related field, or possess equivalent experience. Additionally, a minimum of 6 years of experience in complex, multi-system, embedded avionics software development and testing, ideally for aerospace or similar critical systems, is required. Strong communication skills, a track record of taking software from concept to delivered product, and familiarity with Agile software development processes are also essential.

Compensation range for on site CO applicants is $157,054-$219,875
Compensation range for on site WA applicants is $170,805-$239,127
