You’ll play a crucial role in our mission as the sponsor of the grant programs for the Hubble Space Telescope (HST) and James Webb Space Telescope (JWST), two of the most powerful space telescopes ever created. These grants fuel groundbreaking astronomical research, leading to the captivating images you often see in the news!
This position supports hybrid work. You will be working mostly from home, but must reside in or be willing to relocate to our local market (MD/DE/PA/VA/WV/DC) and be able to report onsite when needed.
** A minimum of five years of prior grants administration experience working with federally funded research grants and 2 CFR 200 is required.**
As a member of our team, you will apply the HST and JWST program policies, procedures, and regulations, including the Uniform Guidance (2CFR200), to award and manage NASA- funded research grants to grant recipients.

You must be a highly motivated and curious self-starter who thrives in a team environment and takes personal ownership and pride in your work. Experience working in a sponsor organization is desirable but not required.
You must possess a Bachelor’s degree along with the following skills and abilities:

The salary range for this role is $81,500-91,500 annually. The posted salary range represents a general guideline. STScI considers various factors when determining base salary offers, such as internal pay equity, position scope and responsibilities, current market conditions, and the candidate’s experience, skills and education.
