Our facility in Courtland, AL has an immediate opportunity for an HVAC/Electrical Specialist to join our mission. Virtually every Space mission success starts with a strong foundation of facility infrastructure design, construction, and execution management, which is performed risk-free in support of business needs without interruption. As a member of our Facilities team, you’ll have the opportunity to use your skills and experience to take on interesting challenges and become an integral part of our team as we maintain the HVAC systems within our state-of-the-art engineering facilities. As the HVAC/Electrical Specialist in Courtland, AL you will perform the following duties:
• Repair, construct, install, troubleshoot, and maintain routine electrical systems and equipment
• Install, repair, or replace switch boxes, light bulbs, plugs, sockets, light fuses, and extension cords
• Disassemble motors, generators, and other equipment in preparation for repair
• Troubleshoot electrical malfunctions, inspect circuits and wiring for shielding and grounding, and tests
electrical equipment for safety and efficiency
• Use blueprints, drawings, layout, or other specifications, and electrical hand tools, and voltage-or-amperage measuring and recording devices.

Basic Qualifications:
– Experience with HVAC compressors to include Helical (rotary screw)
– Reciprocating hermetic and semi-hermetic, standard hermetic scroll, and digital hermetic scroll experience
– Knowledge in troubleshooting all types of AC and DC HVAC control systems including DDC and BAS
– Must be a United States citizen and be able to obtain a government security clearance at the Secret level
Desired Skills:
Two Year Technical Diploma or equivalent certification.
– Five Years experience and working knowledge of applicable troubleshooting procedures on plant air conditioning, ventilation, heating and air handling systems, boilers, and, chillers.
– Experience with Yale Overhead Cranes and drives
overhead door operation and associated controls Caterpillar emergency generators and associated automatic transfer switches.
– Have or willing to be certified to operate forklifts, cranes and ariel lifts
– Experience with all hand and power tools required to repair plant machinery, infrastructure, and equipment

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4×10 hour day, 3 days off per week
