Internship conversion position for the Cloud Platforms & Architectures Department within the Information Systems and Cyber Division (ISCD). This position will be located at in Chantilly, VA
Job Summary
ISCD staff members couple the latest in information system technologies, such as elastic compute clouds, containerization, microservices, real-time operating systems, and visualization frameworks, with expertise in cyber security, software architecture, software engineering, data science, Artificial Intelligence, process improvement, and software development to deliver responsive, resilient, high-performance software intensive systems to our Intelligence Community, DoD, and civilian customers.
Work Model
This position will be a hybrid work model and offer partially remote with some onsite work required in Chantilly, VA.
What You’ll Be Doing
Stay at the forefront of cloud technology to help our customers leverage cloud technology to fulfill their mission needs
Develop software for various cloud-related prototyping activities
Manage Linux systems to provide software-as-a-service, platform-as-a-service, and infrastructure-as-a-service capabilities
Implement DevSecOps technologies to securely streamline development, testing, build, and deployment of applications
Work in a fast-paced, feature-driven environment, experimenting with state-of-the-art hardware and software technologies to rapidly develop prototypes that demonstrate the capabilities of these technologies
Research and experiment with both cutting edge and bleeding edge technologies
Support not only local project teams, but project teams at other national offices as well

What You Need to Be Successful
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field(s) from a from an accredited college/university program, pursuing or conferred within the last 12 months
0-1 year of work experience
Previous Aerospace Internship
Experience writing code in Python, Go, Java, or a similar language
Experience with data structures, algorithms, and software design
This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.

Interest in designing, writing, and/or troubleshooting software and systems in a distributed Linux environment
Ability to debug and optimize code and automate routine tasks
Knowledge of Linux system administration
Experience with containers and container orchestration systems, such as Docker and Kubernetes
