About the Role

As a Logistics Specialist III, you prepare our logistics documentation to assist in establishing the pipeline for spares, tools, test equipment, materials, and related manuals needed are available to be deployed and stocked. You’ll be responsible for routing, documenting, and coordinating shipping logistics, maintaining our records of equipment, components, repair parts and related manuals, and tracking logistics materials and parts for proper allocation of our storage facilities. You’ll ensure shipping activities adhere to state, federal, and global regulations and import/export requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED equivalent and typically 4 or more years of relevant experience

A higher level degree may substitute for experience

Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education

Microsoft Word and Excel skills
-
Understanding and experience with the practical application of Inventory and Supply Chain/Logistics principles and technique
-
Progressive experience with inventory databases
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Familiarity with AvPro or similar aviation maintenance tracking systems
-
HazMat Training/Certification
-
Ability to operate a Forklift
-
Experience with shipping databases, such as FedEx, DHL, UPS
-
Current Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and clean driving record

Understanding of Shelf Life
-
Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military

Frequently repeat same hand, arm, and finger motion many times to include finger and hand dexterity -
Frequently requires vision abilities to include close, distance, depth perception, and telling the difference between colors
