Northrop Grumman Corporation has an exciting opportunity for a Configuration Data Management manager who will oversee the day-to-day change management activities at the Space Park/Redondo Beach, CA site. The selected candidate be a part of the Air Systems Integration Organization.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Oversee team of 12-15 people in the F-35 Configuration and Data Management Team
- Provide daily tasking and direction to team members and ensure that required resources (training, tools) are in place
- Provide timely feedback to team, and help to eliminate roadblocks when necessary
- Responsible for Plans and coordinates preparation of project documentation, such as engineering drawings, production specifications and schedules, and contract modifications, to ensure customer contract requirements are met
- Reviews contract to determine documentation required for each phase of project, applying knowledge of engineering and manufacturing processes and coordinates modification records for management control
- Establishes change orders and prepares for change authorization and documentation by company and subcontractor. Reviews and analyzes released engineering change data and coordinates changes with engineering, quality, support, manufacturing, and engineering data control activities
- Ensure that CDM team executes all requirements in the program Configuration Management Plan
- Manage all Configuration Management and Data Management (CDM) activities, update and maintain Program CDM processes and plans, establish configuration-controlled baselines, maintain program Configuration Identification, Change Control, Status Accounting and Contract Deliverables throughout the product lifecycle as well as fulfilling existing CDM program processes and plans in accordance with NGAS sector processes and our customer statement of work.
- Coordinate with the program IPT Leads, Program Manager, Chief Engineer, and software development lead to ensure products are generated, managed, reviewed, approved and released using sector approved processes, tools and analysis products.
- Customer Interface for all configuration management and data management issues
- Provide visibility to program leadership for all SDRL and CDRL deliverables from the suppliers and to the customer
- Interface with the Project Engineering, Master Planning Integration, and Proposal Management teams to ensure they are meeting all Configuration and Data Management requirements
- Provide audit and training for all F-35 teams to ensure that they are meeting all Configuration Management requirements and be able to present the findings to Program Management
- Develop and maintain CDM Knowledge Management database
- Lead Minor Boards for all engineering changes
- Support Air Systems Integration IPT for all CDM staffing requirements
- Travel will be required minimum 25%.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree from accredited university with 9 years of related experience
- Previous leadership experience
- Configuration and Data Management experience
- Ability to maintain a DoD Secret clearance
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- NDIA certification in Configuration and Data Management
- DoD Secret or above
- Experience working in a process-oriented environment
- Working knowledge of hardware & software configuration control and defect tracking systems.
Salary Range: $125,500.00 – $188,300.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate’s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
