In your role as an Associate Manager in the Structural Analysis Department, your primary focus will be to ensure the fulfillment of technical program requirements and the timely, cost-effective delivery of products. Your expertise will center on conducting both preliminary and detailed dynamic analyses of spacecraft and missile flight structures, employing advanced methods and tools. Your key responsibilities will include:
• Supervising a team of dynamic analysts providing support to various programs and lines of business.
• Providing guidance, mentorship, career development opportunities, and training to a team comprising 4 to 7 employees.
• Serving as the organization’s representative during design reviews and interactions with external contracts and customers.
• Assisting in defining dynamic tests, specifying requirements, monitoring progress, conducting data reduction, and comparing results to the analysis. This should be carried out while considering other pertinent mechanical factors (such as thermal, dynamic, materials, etc.) and system-level requirements and parameters within the analyses.

Basic Qualifications:
•Proficient comprehension of structural dynamics acquired through formal education or equivalent practical experience.
•Extensive familiarity with spacecraft dynamic and acoustic testing techniques, encompassing both traditional hand calculations and practical expertise in mechanical joint applications.
•Proficiency in application of finite element analysis principles as well as rigid and flexible body lumped-parameters
• Experience leading a team including the ability to organize, motivate, and lead groups of engineering personnel.
•Ability to obtain a Top Secret Clearance, US Citizenship required.
Desired Skills:
• A Master’s degree is strongly preferred for this position
• Ability to work in a collaborative and highly integrated team environment
• Ability and desire to assume ownership of tasks and drive to closure quickly and efficiently
•Experience evaluating designs using rigid body or flexible body analysis methods and tools
• Mechanisms, antenna, electronic component, ground support, hoisting, and test support equipment, and composite materials analysis experience
• Experience with NX/Nastran, Abaqus, ADAMS, LS-Dyna, Matlab, Mathcad or CREO
• Static, vibration, acoustic, modal, shock test experience of aerospace flight hardware
•Creativity/innovation to tackle issues related to anomalous performance of any aspect of a mechanical system
•Willingness to mentor junior analysts
•Active Top Secret security clearance.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4×10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, or Washington is $100,400 – $192,500 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
