Project: The Network Engineer will work independently and as part of a cross-functional team comprised of technical experts supporting an established and growing Intelligence Community (IC) mission. You will need to quickly understand complex technical concepts, make assessments, and articulate your recommendations to the customer. Previous experience working on-site to support the Department of Defense (DoD) and the Intelligence Community (IC) is highly desirable.
Day-to-Day with your Colleagues:
· Enable the development of system architectures and detailed system designs
· Perform work in three overlapping technical domains; defensive and offensive cyber, cloud, and data and cyber security.
· Provide network engineering security expertise to the customer’s projects and systems.
· Develop plans and integrate user equipment with a variety of networks.
· Support the team in conducting test design; anomaly resolution; system deployment and sustainment support.
· Perform or assist in design, development, installation, and testing of operational equipment.
· Conduct system anomaly trouble shooting, and interface with vendors and mission partners to ensure systems will meet the end goals of stakeholders.
· Review information from multiple sources and provide technical guidance regarding network or cloud architecture when necessary
· Provide knowledge and analysis of wireless and wireline circuit-switched and packet-switched telecommunications networks, transmission protocols, and network technologies
Minimum Requirements:
· Must have active TS/SCI security clearance and be willing and able to obtain CI Polygraph.
· Bachelor’s degree (4 additional years of relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree).
· 6 years of professional experience working in cyber security, computer science, computer engineering, or related field.
· Ability to communicate highly technical analyses at a level comprehensible to non-technical audiences and senior-level government representatives.
· Expert knowledge and use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Preferred Skills:
· Demonstrated experience developing innovative technical capabilities for USG customers.
· Experience working on-site at a customer location.
· Experience working in DOD / IC.
· Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a lead or within a team of peers, as well as excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
· Demonstrated experience in cyber operations, either offensive or defensive
· Demonstrated experience with virtualization and cloud orchestration services (VMware, Kubernetes, Docker)
· Demonstrated experience analyzing cryptographic implementations
· Demonstrated experience or familiarity with Open Source penetration testing and forensic tools (Kali, Cellebrite, Wireshark, etc.)
· Demonstrated experience supporting Special Access Programs
Our salary ranges are market-driven and set to allow for flexibility. Individual pay will be competitive based on a candidate’s unique set of knowledge, skills, and geographic diversity, with earnings potential commensurate with experience. The range for this position is:
$96,000.00 – $160,000.00 annually.
