Sierra Space-based in Louisville, CO with operations in Madison, WI, Durham, NC, Huntsville, AL, Houston, TX, and Kennedy Space Center, FL—designs and manufactures the Dream Chaser spaceplane and other advanced spacecraft, commercial space destinations, satellites, propulsion and environmental systems, spacecraft subsystems and components for the U.S. government (including NASA), commercial customers, and international organizations. Sierra Space’s Orbital Missions and Services (OMS) division focuses on the design, build, and operations of small satellites in support of commercial services and national security space and offers two work locations: Louisville, Colorado and Centennial, Colorado.
Must-haves:
Bachelor’s Degree in RF Engineering or related Engineering discipline and typically 14 or more years of relevant experience
Higher-level degree may substitute for relevant experience
Comprehensive knowledge of engineering principles and practices, including various RF modeling, analysis techniques, and tools
Progressive experience working in multi-disciplinary design & development teams
This position requires current/active Top Secret with SCI eligibility U.S. Security Clearance
Preferred:
In-depth understanding of SMC-S-016: Test Requirements for Launch, Upper-Stage and Space Vehicles
Experience with automated software testing
Understanding of the application of Lean manufacturing techniques (e.g., White/Orange/Green Belt)
AI&T experience with commercial space vehicles or space systems from demonstration class through category-A missions
Familiarity with Product and Quality Assurance principles and experienced in generation and disposition of product non-conformances
In-depth understanding of product development and verification methodologies.

Estimated Starting Salary Range:
$159,430.15 – $239,145.23
Sierra Space offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.
