Astroscale Israel is developing a unique system for rendezvous and docking in space, including the development and production of mechanisms for space.
We are looking for a technician/engineer with experience and an understanding of the assembly and integration processes of electro-mechanical systems in aerospace.
Job responsibilities:
- Accompany engineering development and design processes and contribute to improving the producibility.
- Define manufacturing technologies (translate engineering requirements into production and assembly processes) and write routing sheets and work instructions
- Establish and lead electro-mechanical assembly and integration processes for systems
- Perform assembly, inspection, and testing of complex systems.
Required Experience and Skills (at least 5 years in relevant fields):
- Experience and understanding of the ability to support the engineering process (design feedback, configuration management, etc.)
- Proven experience defining manufacturing and assembly processes and supporting part manufacturers.
- Proven experience in the assembly and integration of electro-mechanical systems.
- Knowledge and experience in quality requirements and processes, including working according to Route cards and signing off on assembly stages.
- Ability to read and understand English drawings and documents.
- Graduate of a relevant course and certification in the Air Force or an aerospace and defense company – an advantage.
- Experience working in a high-cleanliness environment (clean room) – an advantage.
- Experience performing basic electrical assemblies (routing harnesses, connecting electrical plugs, etc.) – an advantage.
