Your tasks and responsibilities
Leadership and coordination of commercial business activities globally, ensuring continued success and achievement of sales targets.
Work systematically from the company’s strategic objectives to define critical success factors that will ensure “best in class” sales and customer development activities.
Develop a long term road map to ensure that growth and development are hardwired into the commercial business.
Lead by example and create a collaborative environment in which all members of the organization are focused on key goals and have a sense of urgency for achieving results.
Participate in the planning and execution of required sales and marketing activities.
Effectively interpret market changes and translate them into well-defined business plans and integrate them into an executable sales and marketing plan including anticipation of, and reaction to, the moves of key competitors as well as key market, technology and industry trends.
Your profile
Must-have:
At least 5 years of sales experience gained in the satellite and/or space industries, with a proven track record in growing sales in an international environment.
Comprehensive experience in the sales and marketing of complex, advanced services, including technologically sophisticated and outsourcing services, to international clients.
Strong communication skills in English (both written and spoken), with knowledge of other languages, including German, considered a plus.
Academic degree in a relevant field.
Ability to develop and execute a long-term client development plan through the appropriate CRM tools and methodologies.
Proven ability to act as a proactive figure in all sales and marketing decisions towards key clients, showcasing strong negotiation skills.
Ability to respond to a changing competitive landscape and stay abreast of market changes and the latest technological developments.
Strategic thinking with a results-oriented approach, capable of understanding both business needs and client expectations.
A pragmatic relationship-builder who can foster and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients.
Independent with a strong drive, an innovative and forward-thinking mindset, and the ability to take initiatives.
You hold a valid working permit for Germany/EU.
Nice-to-have:
Knowledge of Space Traffic Management (STM) and Space Situational Awareness (SSA) scenarios and services.
Experience in SaaS sales to specific space and/or satellite vertical markets (e.g. Satellite-based IoT, EO, satcom, ground segment, launchers, etc.)
Knowledge of government contracts and procurement processes in the aerospace or satellite industry.
