Maxar Technologies is seeking a Senior Enterprise Engineer to join our Sensor Programs team to execute current geospatial processing efforts while catalyzing growth in the expanding market for EO and SAR-based applications. This individual brings a strong positive reputation with key customers such as the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO), National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA), Space Development Agency (SDA) and/or the United States Space Force (USSF) and is regarded as a trusted industry resource.
Our Sensor Programs team collaborates on development projects with staff at other Maxar locations and we routinely work with other companies who share our commitment to our customers and their missions. The Sensor Programs team develops specialized, innovative new sources of geospatial data, analytic methods, software and engineering services. Our work transforms how customers support global mapping and intelligence missions at scale, revealing unique information and insights. We contribute to integrated space solutions by harnessing and applying disruptive technologies.
The job location is flexible but must be willing to be in a SCIF for technical engagements, customer meetings and development/program activities.
Responsibilities:
Provide technical leadership across programs, pursuits and proposals.
Provide engineering support to large enterprise programs for all aspects of ground system development from mission analysis through verification/validation of system performance.
Collaborate with program and portfolio leadership, business development and strategy leadership and other members of the technical staff to define growth strategy based on customer insights.
Engage directly with Maxar’s customers and facilitate other leadership engagement where appropriate.
Recommend and assist in defining the business case for Maxar investments (IR&D, Sell, B&P) as appropriate.
Generate ideas for new Maxar opportunities (whitepapers, etc.).
Mentor and develop technical staff to achieve their full professional potential.
Required Qualifications:
Active TS/SCI security clearance.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
15+ years of experience with geospatial processing and imaging systems.
Detailed understanding of current EO, OPIR, SAR and other imaging systems, related ground architectures, and current prime contractors.
Willingness to travel as required.
Positive, collaborative attitude to help inspire internal stakeholders.
Desired Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Engineering.
Excellent inter-personal and communication skills, ability to interact with a cross functional team and act as customer interface.
Ability to capture customer research and development (CRAD) efforts to prototype and demonstrate new analytical technologies.
Experience with Model Based System Engineering (MBSE), integration and test, system sell-off and delivery experience of high-volume ground operations systems.
Experience working on an Agile team and executing according to SAFe principles.

Our salary ranges are market-driven and set to allow for flexibility. Individual pay will be competitive based on a candidate’s unique set of knowledge, skills, and geographic diversity, with earnings potential commensurate with experience. The range for this position is:
$155,000.00 – $259,000.00 annually.
Additionally, this position is incentive eligible with a target based on contribution, company performance, and/or individual results achieved; the specific incentive plan and target amount will be determined based on the role and breadth of contributions.
