Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Systems Engineering Manager 2. This position is located in Roy, UT and supports the Sentinel program.
This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
What You’ll Get To Do:
Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Reviews and elevates status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Leads resolution of project issues and facilitates development of resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Manages mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
Manage team responsible for the development of the supplier statement of work template for the program
Build relationships with technical leads and specialty engineering to enable the team to tailor of statement of works
Partner with supplier management to enable successful flow down and traceability to the statement of work
Collect and assess product and process quality by helping to define and track metrics and leading indicators
Communicate progress and issues up through program leadership
Utilize DOORS for Statement of Work requirement management, allocation and traceability.

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
Job Qualifications
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline with 5 years related experience or Masters Degree in STEM and 3 years related experience.
Must be a U.S. Citizen with an Active DoD Secret Clearance with an investigation date within the last 6 years
At least 1 year experience leading a project and/or driving performance against schedule
Proven success managing multiple projects simultaneously
Experience developing, implementing, and updating project schedules
Experience drafting or supporting the execution of supplier statements of work
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Demonstrated experience and knowledge of IBM Rationale DOORS for requirement management and traceability
Demonstrated knowledge of project management principles and execution of a large complex DoD program
Excellent decision making and communication (written and oral) skills
Highly experienced in consolidating stakeholder needs across multiple IPTs
Prior experience interfacing with USAF leadership personnel
A minimum of 6 years of experience supporting U.S. Government contracts and/or project management in any industry; 4 years with a master’s degree
Experience as a Scrum Master and Product Owner
Extensive experience with JIRA and Confluence tools
Proven ability to thrive autonomously in a dynamic environment managing multiple efforts at once
Proven experience as a functional manager and leader
Working knowledge of contract and subcontract methodologies

Salary Range: $131,200.00 – $196,800.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate’s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
