Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking Program Protection and Vulnerability Assessment Engineer – 13560. This position will be located in Roy, Utah and will support the Sentinel program.
Responsibilities include:
• Assessment and analysis of threats, vulnerabilities, and risk for identified mission-critical functions and critical components.
• Understands, reviews, and interprets vulnerability assessment results.
• Research, analyze data, and derive facts per identified vulnerabilities.
• Participate in a variety of working groups and customer meetings; ensure communication of risk environment with stakeholders.
• Contributes to the ongoing enhancement of assessment capabilities through the development and implementation of improved methodology, processes, infrastructure, tools, and deliverables.
• Execute completion Statement of Work requirements, Program Milestone Exit Criteria, and program maturity commitments.
• Self-starters compelled to take action in the workplace without requiring prompting from supervisors.
• Support MDT with other duties as assigned.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
Job Qualifications:
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
8 Years with Bachelor’s in relevant field of study, 6 Years with Masters, 4 Years with PhD or 4 additional years in lieu of a degree.
Active DoD Top Secret clearance with a reinvestigation date occurring in the last 6 years.
U.S. Citizen and Ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP).
Experience with any of the following Software coding principles, software lifecycle and software assurance standards contained in NIST RMF, MISRA-C/C++, IEEE/EIA, MIL-STD, and other industry standards for specific coding languages.
Minimum 3 years of combined experience applying Cyber, Information, and Systems Security Engineering principles applicable to US Government Defense Programs.
Minimum 3 years in showing the ability to communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings
Experience conducting Supply Chain Risk Management, Program Protection, and Vulnerability Assessments.
Experience delivering contractual obligations against budget and schedule.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Any or all of the following Certifications: CompTIA Linux +, CompTIA Net +, CompTIA Sec +, Certified Ethical Hacker V11, SANS 578 Cyber Threat Intelligence.
Experience leading a team to delivering contractual obligations against budget and schedule.
Experience developing Systems Security Engineering requirements for hardware and software assurance.
Evaluating program processes and compliance strategies for large, complex multi-site programs.
A solid understanding of Program Protection applicable to US Government Defense Programs and applied knowledge in the application of SSE principles across a broad spectrum of security measures (Cybersecurity, Counterfeit Awareness, Anti-Tamper, HW/SW Assurance, OPSEC, etc.).
Demonstrated experience working with Subcontractors and other Supply Chain elements.
Experience with Model-based Systems Engineering (MBSE) concepts and tools.
Knowledge of acquisition threat analysis and protection initiatives for acquisition programs.
Military Intelligence, Law Enforcement, or other USG Intelligence agency experience preferred.

Salary Range: $126,400.00 – $189,600.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate’s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
