Responsibilities
- Design, implement, test and own Nova environmental, vehicle and I/O simulation models
- Provide other team members with simulation and Trick expertise
- Draft unit tests and coordinate high-level testing of implemented models
- Collaborate with flight software developers in creating reasonably realistic environment and effector models
Requirements:
- B.S. in physics or engineering domain
- Organized, thorough and methodical approach to software quality and testing
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Capable of both high quantity and high quality output
- Ability to work in a fast paced, hard charging, high stakes environment
- A passion for spaceflight
Highly Desired:
- M.S. or PhD in physics or engineering domain
- 5+ years experience in C/C++ development
- 5+ years experience in object-oriented design
- 3+ years experience with the NASA Trick simulation framework
- Experience with xUnit compliant unit test frameworks
- Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL database solutions
- Experience with Windows and Unix operating systems
- Experience with Docker-based containerization
- Experience in an agile / scrum development environment
- Experience in Gitflow coordinated configuration management schemes
