At Blue Origin, we envision millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth. We’re working to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems within a culture of safety, collaboration, and inclusion. Join our diverse team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight!
This role is part of the Lunar Permanence business unit. To further Blue Origin’s mission of having millions of people living and working in space, we are building the sustainable infrastructure for our transport of crew and cargo from Earth to the Lunar Surface.
As part of a diverse and hardworking team of engineers, you will contribute to the definition and development of spacecraft thermal control systems. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced and often uncertain environment, contributing to innovative solutions, while demonstrating personal leadership, technical competence, and attention to detail. You will work directly with NASA and our National Team Partners as part of the Human Landing System (HLS) Sustaining Lunar Development (SLD) program. You will play a key role in developing the Lunar Transportation system that will return humans to the Moon.
In this role you will partner with the Lunar Thermal Hardware engineers to deliver active or passive thermal hardware components, assemblies, and systems. You will work at the intersection of program management, engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, and quality organizations, improving team effectiveness and coordination, and ensuring that the right people are working together to solve problems and deliver results on time. Assignments can range from supporting component design, subsystem integration activities, and testing coordination. In early project phases, you may define project scope and schedule to achieve overall program goals and component requirements. In later phases, you will coordinate internal and external stakeholders, manage changes, and resolve unexpected problems in support of component or subsystem builds, subsequent integration into test facilities and vehicles, and test activities. As the primary point of contact, you must enjoy solving communication and organizational problems, earning trust, and improving the overall performance of all teams involved. We are seeking a self-motivated and highly organized individual who can work with minimal direction and coordinate teams in the successful execution of engineering integration activities.
Contribute to a team of Thermal Engineers and Analysts simultaneously developing groundbreaking lunar landers. We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Passion for our mission and vision is required!
