We’re on the hunt for an Electromechanical Assembler/SMT Operator on our Satellite systems team at our Montreal office.
The Position:
The SMT Operator is under the category of Electromechanical Assembler. This will be under the assignment of operating the SMT machine.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare components.
- Proceed with the tinning of components.
- Manually assemble through-hole (TH) and surface mount technology (SMT) components on printed circuit boards.
- Operate and adjust automated inspection and assembly equipment.
- Prepare, handle and use polymeric products for component bonding.
- Install cables.
- Mechanically integrate modules, flex and printed circuit boards.
- Inspect, check and validate compliance of certain tasks performed by colleagues.
- Support Research and Development.
- All other related tasks.
Schedule:
- Daytime training, Monday to Friday 7:00 am to 3:00 pm
Possibility of choosing between:
- Evening shift, Monday to Friday 2:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. with the possibility of working 4 days out of 5
- Day shift, Monday to Friday 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with the option of working 4 out of 5 days.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- College diploma or secondary school vocational diploma in one of the following fields: electromechanical, mechanical, aeronautical or equivalent.
- 2 to 5 years of relevant experience.
- A combination of other experiences and pertinent education can be considered.
- Plan Reading.
- Basic knowledge of the principle of tolerances and geometrical dimensions.
- Knowledge of standards IPC-A-610
- Ability to recover and enter data with a computer system.
- Use of production databases.
- Fine manual dexterity.
- Good knowledge of French. Basic knowledge of English is an asset.
