The Role

AMERGINT is seeking a Software Engineer to build work on the AMERGINT Cloud Product team.  Our customers, both government or commercial, are actively evaluating and designing future ground architectures, and the cloud will play an important role. AMERGINT is adapting our core software architecture, softLINK, to solve our customers problems in the cloud environment. 

This position will be in Colorado Springs, CO or Broomfield, CO.

Core Responsibilities

• Work on a team to execute the cloud product and technology roadmap.
• Incorporate current technologies, processes, and tools for AMERGINT’s internal and external customers.
• Communicate and collaborate across the engineering team and product owners.
• Evaluate and recommend solutions and guide team decision-making.
• Continuously improve, adapt, and grow.

Required Skills

• Bachelors in Engineering or related field required.
• 4+ years of experience with Linux Operating System, container orchestration, and developing cloud-based solutions.
• Working experience with containerization technologies such as Docker or Podman.
• Working experience with container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes and Helm.
• Proficient with C/C++ and Python and familiarity with common development tools.
• Knowledge of the services offered by AWS and Azure and their appropriate use cases.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Able to convey complex ideas and information through simple and accessible language and visuals.
• All candidates must have the ability to obtain a US Government security clearance.
• Willing to travel 10%.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of Kubernetes load balancing.
• Familiar with modern cloud-native architecture patterns and best practices.
• Familiar with networking protocols.
• Familiar with satellite communications and telemetry.
• Familiar with agile project management technology.

• Colorado pay range from: $100,000 to $151,000 annually, your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
