Job Description:
Telespazio is a joint venture between Leonardo (67%) and Thales (33%) and one of the world’s biggest suppliers of satellite solutions and services. The Digital Engineer is an expert in designing, implementing and testing the overall digital solutions, services, and front-ends. She/he is natively oriented to full-stack engineering and development. This includes cloud native application design and development.
The digital engineer shall have hands-on experience (at least 3 years working experience) designing and coding enterprise applications using multi-device, multi-platform development based on Microservices architectures paradigm.
Candidate must be able to work collaboratively in a team environment. She/he should be familiar with Agile SCRUM methodology.
Activities/Responsibilities
- To design, develop and unit test digital solutions and end-to-end applications on ever-changing modern technology in public/hybrid cloud environments
- To adopt DevSecOps automated pipelines
- To contribute to the technical project documentation (such as Requirements Documents, Operations Concept Document, Operations Engineering Plan, User and Administration Manual, etc.)
- To assist in project reviews if/when required
Competencies
- Proven Experience in Microservices applications design
- In-depth knowledge of Programming Languages: Java, Python
- In-depth knowledge of Front-end techniques: Angular, TypeSript, JavaScript, JQuery, Bootstrap, Flask, Liferay
- Software design principles
- Knowledge of security coding standards (OWASP, CWE/SANS)
- Knowledge of IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and CaaS concept
- Knowledge of Container Orchestration frameworks (Kubernetes, OpenShift, etc)
- knowledge of Linux and linux scripting
- Bachelor or master’s degree in Computer Science (3 or 5 years)
- High-level written and verbal English communication skills
- Quality standards and provisions
Further Skills:
- Knowledge of relational database (PostgreSQL, Oracle)
- Knowledge of not relational database and analytics (MongoDB, Elastic)
- Knowledge about configuration management domain (GIT, GITLAB, etc)
- Experience in Multiple technology stacks application development
- Experience writing for Applications automation in Cloud
- Experience with at least one Commercial Public Cloud (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, etc)
