Your Mission
As a working student for the Technical Team, your mission is to advance the Guidance, Navigation & Control algorithms onboard Spectrum’s Avionics, with a special focus on reusability scenarios. Drawing upon your academic expertise and innovative mindset, you will advance a GNC system for the purpose of an ongoing development program.
More specifically, you will:
- Keep up with and report industry trends related to reusability
- Advance the GNC system in terms of onboard trajectory optimization and control & navigation algorithms
- Document your progress
- Communicate with other teams with respect to requirements and results
- Perform Monte-Carlo analyses
- Support integrated test across different departments
Who you are and what you have
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics or similar experience
- Currently enrolled in a corresponding master’s degree
- Experience in development and validation of algorithms in the field of Guidance, Navigation and Control
- Strong background in mathematical modelling and data analysis in MATLAB and all relevant Tools (Simulink, Stateflow, autocoding etc.)
- Proficiency in data analysis in frequency and time domain
- Experience in C/C++ flight software development
- Take ownership and accountability for your own actions and mistakes
- Can-do attitude and outstanding communication skills
- Fluent in English and German

- Participated actively in a rocketry working student group
- Knowledge about optimization problems
- Hands-on / test experience
- Knowledge about GIT version control
